JIMS ® is proud to offer 6-speed transmission gears made in the
U.S.A. by JIMS ® . Imagine riding the road at 75 MPH in 5th gear and
by shifting into 6th you reduce your engine RPM by almost 500 RPM.'s.
It's now possible to have this option with the strength and
reliability of JIMS ® quality gears and shafts. All gears are
standard width for performance and strength, with first gear being
close ratio 2:94, and the last four being the same ratio as a stock
5-speed. 6th gear goes to .86:01 over-drive. JIMS ® 100% American
Made and assembled by JIMS ® American Team. Run a 5-speed
transmission in a 4-speed (non-rubber mount) type frame. Be it stock
or any aftermarket frame that will clear an electric start. Now,
your Panhead or Shovelhead (See applications on next page) can have
all the finer points of a 5-speed transmission with smooth shifting,
smooth quiet running and more H.P. from much lower friction drag.
This transmission will also allow you to control your gear ratio for
your style of riding. This way you can have a lower low and a higher
high. A sweet performance upgrade that will increase engine life,
acceleration and gas mileage. We start off with JIMS ® Gear Shafts
with gears having their dogs back cut with lead-in ramping on mating
gears. Installed in a Sputhe case using the most technologically
advanced assembly room known to the motorcycle aftermarket, topped
off with JIMS ® Gaskets and seals. |
