Used with a right side drive Big Twin frame these transmissions will allow the use of a 250 series wide tire and still be able to run a 1 1/2" wide drive belt. The right side drive was developed to use this massive size tire without offsetting the engine to the left side of the frame. Not only does it keep the weight mass centralized in the frame it separates the gyroscopic effect of the primary drive and the secondary drive to each side of the motorcycle.!!
These Baker 5 & 6 Speed Right Side Drive (RSD) Transmissions Feature:

The Baker 5 speed version of this transmission includes standard ratio gears and is best suited for stock through moderately modified engines.
The Baker 6 speed version of this transmission includes standard ratio 1st through 5th gears with a .86:1 ratio overdrive. The Baker 6 speed transmission is best suited for a large displacement engine.
For strength all transmission gears installed in Baker Transmissions are full width and are manufactured by Andrews.
To eliminate a weak area normally associated with the 1980/Later type transmission, Baker has incorporated the transmission countershaft and the countershaft's 5th gear into one piece.
Chrome plated hydraulic clutch actuator/pulley cover (must be used with 11/16" bore master cylinder and 10mm banjo bolt).
Chrome plated top transmission cover with 1980/1997 type neutral switch.
Fully polished transmission case manufactured by S&S.
Chrome plated access door CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
Compatible with the OE speedometer sensor.
Includes 32 tooth transmission pulley.
The Baker Transmission Splined mainshaft is designed for 1990/Later style clutch.
Smooth effortless shifting is accomplished by several factors:
All transmission gear dogs have lead-in ramps.
The lighter weight of the shift drum reduces rotating inertia and has redesigned for pin grooves.
Transmission shift forks that are made from billet steel then hard chrome plated.
Roller with torsion type spring for the shift drum detent instead of the OE type plunger/coil spring detent.
A Bakers transmission manufacturer's Statement of Origin is included!!

All transmission gears are finish ground on diamond coated tooling after heat treating to produce a super fine surface for holding exact tolerances and eliminating gear mesh noise

Redundant shift drum detents (roller type & plunger type for positive neutral finding)
Anti-Overshift inner transmission shift linkage with improved shape return spring for dependability
Baker Transmissions Have A Polished case with chrome plated top cover and side cover
Lightened steel pulley with 32 teeth
2.94:1 close ratio first gear adds approximately 5 miles per hour of usable first gear
The Baker transmission 6 speed has a .86:1 ratio top gear and will reduce RPM by approximately 475
These Baker transmissions include a single wire type neutral switch designed for 1984/1997 Softail models and can be used with an electronic speedometer sensor

These Baker Transmission Drivetrains, 5 & 6 Speed Right Side Drive (RSD) For Custom Use Feature:

These Bad Azz Baker Transmission Drivetrain setups are designed for right side drive Big Twin frames that have centered in the frame Engine Mounts and a 1/2" left offset Transmission Mount (a Primary Spacer will not be required)
These Baker Transmission Drive Trains Can be used with a 240/250mm Tire and still fit a 1 1/2" wide Rear Belt. A 280/300mm Tire is possible with a 530 O Ring Chain and Offset Transmission Sprocket
The Starter Mount location has been dropped permitting the seat height to be lowered up to 2 1/2"
By slamming the Clutch Assembly inward 2.3", the open space once occupied by the left side drive Transmission Pulley is now eliminated
The hydraulic type Clutch Actuator is designed for an 11/16" bore Master Cylinder and a 10mm Banjo Bolt
All Baker Transmission gears are manufactured by Andrews Products Inc. and are finish ground after heat treating on a diamond coated grinder providing superior fit with minimal gear noise
Back-cut Gear Dogs with lead-in ramps on the gear pockets provide smooth shifting with positive engagement
Transmission Steel Shift Forks with hard chrome plating feature a cross section that is 3 times thicker than stock
For improved acceleration, the 32 tooth hard anodized aluminum Pulley weighs a mere 2 pounds (OEM weighs 5.2 pounds)
2.94:1 Close Ratio 1st gear and .86:1 ratio 6th gear
The 28 tooth solid mount Engine Sprocket combined with the 43 tooth Clutch Basket produces a Primary Drive Ratio of 1.54:1 (same as stock) and includes the required 88 pitch Primary Chain & Adjuster
For maximum torque transfer, the Clutch Pack features 9 KevlarŪ Friction Plates
These Baker Transmission Drivetrain setup Includes a single pole type Neutral Switch and is compatible with the OE type electronic Speedometer Sensor (a sensor block off plate is included)
All Baker Transmission Drive train parts are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum
Requires 1990/1993 Starter Motor (not included)
